A note on language: We do not refer to Renascent addiction treatment programs as “rehab,” however we recognize that people use this term as they look for help for themselves or their loved ones. Read more on person-first language here.
Please be advised that Renascent’s doctors prescribe suboxone and other medications to treat addiction. If you are currently using Methadone, Suboxone or other Opioid Agonist Therapies (OAT) you can find out more about our admission processes as it relates to clients who utilize OAT.
What is Suboxone?
Suboxone is a prescription opioid drug that is used to treat the symptoms of opioid dependence typically used when people are detoxing from the use of opioids. It is a combination of the opioid buprenorphine and naloxone. Buprenorphine can reduce symptoms of withdrawal, while naloxone can reverse the effects of opioid use and overdose. It is typically recommended for people to continue the use of suboxone as they go throughout their recovery journey to help manage cravings and withdrawal.
