To assist us in achieving our goal of optimizing community health and safety, Renascent requests that all clients receive both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine at least fourteen days before attending inpatient treatment.
On your admission day bring proof of vaccination, with your valid health card, and identification with you, on your admission day.
All clients must complete a COVID-19 PCR test and provide proof of a negative test in order to begin treatment. This test must be done no sooner than five (5) days before entering treatment. If you live in Toronto, you will be contacted by Women’s College Hospital (WCH) to confirm an appointment for testing. Should you live outside of Toronto, please arrange your own COVID-19 PCR test.
Please note, rapid antigen tests are not accepted at this time and PCR tests may be chargeable if they are not performed at WCH. Renascent will not reimburse any client for the cost of this test.
Vaccinated individuals will be prioritized for earlier admission dates that become available due to cancellations.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if my doctor or healthcare provider tells me that the COVID-19 vaccine is not recommended for medical reasons?
The great majority of the public can safely obtain vaccination against COVID-19. However, upon consulting with their health care provider, some clients may not be able to receive vaccination for various medical reasons. In this case, please obtain a note from your health care provider and bring it with you on your admission date.
Where can I get the COVID-19 vaccination?
Many pharmacies administer the COVID-19 vaccine, and pharmacists are trained to ensure that it is safely provided to you. Alternatively, you can book an appointment through the provincial scheduling tool.
What should I do if I cannot get vaccinated before being admitted?
Renascent strongly encourages you to obtain both doses of your vaccination 14 days before the admission date. If this is not possible, with your consent we will arrange for you to go to a local pharmacy upon your admission to receive vaccination.
If you have any questions regarding your admission, please contact our Client Care Access Centre at: 1-866-323-1212. We look forward to working with you and express our utmost regard and gratitude for helping us make Renascent’s inpatient treatment program a safe and effective experience.
