There is an unsatisfactory nature of being alive, due to impermanence: everything is changing. There’s all the pain we can’t escape from; there’s all the pleasure that is fleeting, it comes but it goes, nothing lasts long enough … This suffering is primarily caused by our attachment, our craving and our clinging to impermanent things, our craving for more pleasure, for less pain. A lack of acceptance is one of the ways to look at it.
