About the position:
Reporting to the Manager, Community Relations and Partnerships, the Community Relations and Partnership Counsellor (CRPC) is the first point of contact for people, organizations and key community stakeholders seeking information about Renascent’s treatment programs and services. As the CRPC you will work in an environment where your relationship management, clinical, and collaboration skills will drive your ability to shape a positive engagement experience for referred clients and Renascent’s key community and corporate partners.
As the CRPC you will provide a central point of contact for Renascent’s existing and new community and corporate partners, with a focus on coordinating all phases of the client’s transition into substance use disorder care. In this capacity, you will oversee and manage the intake, screening, assessment, admission and billing processes for referred clients; and, when required, provide case management support for clients awaiting an admission date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the admission process for referred clients
- Provide case management support to clients from first contact to the end of the treatment process
- Provide written clinical summaries
- Maintain expected documentation and confidentiality standards Maintain active and open communication between Renascent and the Client’s external Case Manager and funding body
- Collaborate with internal Teams to coordinate the care of Clients
- Maintain professional standards of communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify opportunities beneficially to Renascent’s strategic and revenue objectives
- Strive for continuous professional development through participation in training and accreditation programs
Qualifications:
- College or university diploma in social services, and/or work experience in the field of addictions and mental health.
- CADC/CACC certification or certification in 12 Core Functions of Substance Abuse Counselling
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong team player and able to work independently
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Advanced technical skills – able to use technology with ease
- Lived experience in addiction and recovery is considered an asset
- Self-directed with strong problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage confidential/sensitive information
- First Aid Certification
