Due to the impact of addiction on families, specialized programs and support are offered for loved ones and family members, including children.

About the Position

Reporting to the Renascent Fellowship and Renascent Foundation Boards of Directors through the Chair of the Boards, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for leading Renascent in pursuit of its critical mission, engaging the organization and community in the achievement of strategic goals and vision. The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for overall leadership of Renascent’s programs, services and operations, community and government relations, fund-raising and social enterprise, and property management and development.

The new CEO of Renascent will be a mission-driven leader who is deeply passionate about the work of the organization. They will inspire and engage teams and the community in pursuit of a future where every person impacted by addiction can rebuild hope, healing and connection.

Qualifications

We’re seeking a visionary leader who brings both heart and strategy to the table—someone deeply aligned with Renascent’s mission to support and transform the lives of individuals living with addiction. The ideal candidate will embody the following qualities and qualifications:

  • Proven reputation as a dynamic builder of networks, systems, and partnerships to strengthen organizational capacity, scale programs and services, and equip the organization to meet future needs and challenges.
  • Excellent organizational leadership capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and engage teams, drive quality and performance, and manage risk and complex organizational issues.
  • Demonstrated success in building strong relationships with funders, including provincial government stakeholders, with a deep understanding of government funding mechanisms and a proven ability to diversify funding streams.
  • Exceptional business acumen, combining strategic vision, strong financial stewardship, and effective communication to build organizational resilience and position teams for sustainable success.
  • Experience working with not-for-profit boards and a solid understanding of best-practice governance protocols.
  • Post-secondary education in health care, social services, health administration, business, or a related discipline.
  • A values-based belief system that promotes a culture of compassion, community, collaboration, and lived experience, and is deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.
  • Experience in senior leadership roles within healthcare or social service organizations is considered a strong asset, bringing valuable insight into sector-specific challenges, opportunities, and community impact
  • Above all, a strong personal connection to Renascent’s mission, with a profound commitment to supporting and transforming the lives of individuals living with addiction.
