As I begin my journey, I hope.
Becoming still in the moments that move so fast, I hope.
Being comfortable in a world that seems to consume me, I hope.
Not identifying my truth with a false smile on my face, I hope.
Give my friends and family all of me, I hope.
Using the tools I learnt to help fight this beast within me,
I hope.
Work as hard to fix as I did to destroy, I hope.
Embrace this healing journey even when it burns, I hope.
Stop apologizing for who I am.
Find a balance in my life.
Reach for the light.
Never accepting addiction as my fate.
Become tangled in a web of recovery.
Winning the battle ONE DAY AT A TIME.
This is my recovery. This is me.
