Volunteer Role
Are you passionate about helping others find recovery from addiction, and are you interested in volunteering your time and talents to an engaged and dedicated Board of Directors? Renascent is currently seeking new volunteer Board Directors to help Renascent face the growing challenges of addiction in our communities and develop pathways to hope, healing and connection.

Renascent is an accredited leader in the addiction treatment field, with a legacy of serving people impacted by substance addiction for over 55 years. Renascent is committed to its Mission of helping to save lives through compassionate, transformative, evidence-based addiction and mental health programs, and is guided by Values of compassion, integrity, community, diversity and inclusion, and lived experience.
This is an exciting time to join Renascent’s Board of Directors. As a member of our Board of Directors you will passionately embrace our Mission and Values and leverage your knowledge, skills, and talents to provide oversight to a dynamic and growing organization. With our Strategic Plan: and the growing demand for addiction treatment and mental health services, Renascent remains poised to serve the needs of people living with addiction across Ontario.
Renascent is comprised of two not-for-profit organizations, Renascent Fellowship and Renascent Foundation. Renascent Fellowship is one of Ontario’s largest and longest-standing community addiction treatment providers, serving individuals and their loved ones by providing life-saving live-in and virtual/outpatient treatment programs. Renascent Foundation is dedicated to raising funds and resources in support of the programs delivered by Renascent Fellowship, and engages in social enterprise to support and facilitate addiction treatment and prevention. Together, Renascent Fellowship and Renascent Foundation are committed to a Vision of ensuring all individuals, families and loved ones impacted by addiction will have timely access to comprehensive, person-centred and evidence-based treatment.
Currently Recruiting for Directors with the Following Skill Sets/Knowledge/ Experience:
- Government Relations
- Philanthropy/Fund-Raising interest/experience or expertise
- Labour Relations
- Individuals with lived experience in 12-step recovery, including Renascent Alumni
- Represent and/or have knowledge of our priority populations including but not limited to racialized populations, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, low-income families, precariously housed and those experiencing homelessness.
