With a new Strategic Plan: and the growing demand for addiction treatment and mental health services, Renascent remains poised to serve the needs of people living with addiction across Ontario.
Renascent is comprised of two not-for-profit organizations, Renascent Fellowship and Renascent Foundation. Renascent Fellowship is one of Ontario’s largest and longest-standing community inpatient addiction treatment providers, serving individuals and their loved ones by providing life-saving inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. Renascent Foundation is dedicated to raising funds and resources in support of the programs delivered by Renascent Fellowship, and engages in social enterprise to support and facilitate addiction treatment and prevention. Together, Renascent Fellowship and Renascent Foundation are committed to a Vision of ensuring all individuals, families and loved ones impacted by addiction will have timely access to comprehensive, person-centred and evidence-based treatment.

Governance and Board of Directors Structure:
Renascent Fellowship and Renascent Foundation are each governed by their own respective Board of Directors and by-laws. In order to work in a collaborative manner towards their common Vision and Mission, the two Boards conduct their work through joint Board Meetings, as well as joint and separate committee work.
The Boards meet at a minimum on a quarterly basis, and Board meetings are typically three hours in length. The Annual Meeting of Members is held each September. Board members must also be a member of at least one Board committee, and committees typically meet quarterly as well. Additional special meetings/workshops are held to discuss specific, or urgent, and/or lengthy items.

Currently Recruiting for Directors with the Following Skill Sets/Knowledge/Experience:
- Human Resources, Compensation and Benefits
- Philanthropy/Fund-Raising interest/experience or expertise
- Healthcare and/or Community and Social Service experience
- Represent and/or have knowledge of our priority populations including but not limited to racialized populations, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, low-income families, precariously housed and those experiencing homelessness
- Individuals with lived experience in 12-step recovery, including Renascent Alumni
- Lived experience as a family member or loved one impacted by addiction, trauma and/or mental health challenges
